Dr Jain's Aloe Vera Gel Review

I have used more hair care products than face care products. Reason is my hair needs consistent pampering. If you are an office goer like me, you can understand how difficult it is to check on your hair health daily. But still somehow I manage sometimes. One thing I know about my hair is it looks dry and dead without applying oil, but I can’t keep applying oil daily. Moreover, oil makes hair all sticky and greasy. I have to look presentable in the office daily, so neither I can go there with sticky well-set hair nor with dry, fly-every-where hair.

After a lot of research, literally a lot, I came across this product online- Dr. Jain’s Aloe Vera Gel. I read that it’s quite nice for hair, moreover, after applying aloe gel mask to hair you won’t need to apply oil after wash. That was the catch!  Another alternative was to grow my own aloe vera plant-but who got the time?! I thought better of buying it from a good chemist itself, and it retailed for only 100 bucks!

  • Firstly, de-tangle my hair.
  • I sprinkle water on my hair (just dampen it and don’t drench).
  • Make at least 10 partitions and apply gel to each partition evenly from the root to the bottom of hair strands. Massage for some time.
  • Then, I tie my hair up in a bun and let it get into my hair for 30 minutes. Afterwards, just wash with a cleansing shampoo thoroughly.

Every time I apply it, it soothes and calms my scalp. Yes, it does give a shine to my otherwise dull hair. You can see every hair strand of yours nicely separated from each other (no stickiness, that is).

Downside: It does replace oil to give your hair a sheen, but it lasts only for 2 to 3 days, which is okay, because it is only a natural ingredient and not a chemical loaded product that will give you fake shine for a whole week.

P.S:  I am not saying to skip hair oil. You should never. This gel is just an alternative when you can’t apply oil on a daily basis, like me. Always massage your hair with warm coconut or any hair oil that you like once in a week.
