Ausum Tea Review And Introduction

AUSUM TEA REVIEW

AWESOME rainy days, isn’t so? And what better than a cup of AUSUM TEA to make it more awesome? Didn’t get it? Read further 😉

So, hello everyone! I am back with yet another review, and this time it’s on a newly launched Tea brand named- AUSUM TEA. This is the first time I am writing on a Tea brand, and the reason I chose to review it because the brand has a uniqueness not only for its name, but also it brings us a unique and never heard before fusion teas. The teas are a blend of flowers, fruit, herbs, and spices. I think this is the first time I have ever heard of Fruits being used for a tea flavor, and it’s called ‘tisane’ which means fruit infusions. I quite liked the idea!

About AUSUM TEA

ausum tea
The brand was founded by Medha Rao and Mayura Rao not long ago. I quite liked the unique name they have given to their tea brand. AUSUM in Latin means bold and daring, and they wanted the same quality to reflect on their brand too, hence, the name.
One important thing to note about AUSUM TEA is that these teas are not mass produced, but are handmade in small batches. That in itself says that the people behind the brand gives more value to the quality rather than quantity.
AUSUM TEA has 3 signature blends and their names are as unique as the brand itself.
WINTER IN A MUG
• SPANISH SANGRIA
• EASTERN ZING

Let’s get into reviewing each one of them.

WINTER IN A MUG

This is the first one in the signature blends, and it contains fruits like Apple and Fig. Other ingredients include herbs and spices like Star Anise, Cinnamon, Clove, Cardamon, Peppercorn, and Nature identical flavor.

How to make the tea.
You would need 125 ml water and add 1.5 tsp of the Ausum tea for one cup of tea, and steep for 5 to minutes. Do not add sugar.
You can also have it cold, if hot is not what you prefer. Take the same quantity of water and tea, and steep it for 60 to 90 minutes at 1-5 degree Celsius in the refrigerator.
How’s the taste?
Of all the other teas, this one is my favorite flavor. Its naturally sweet because of the fruits. Clove and Cardamon fragrance is dominant in the tea, and it the smell is like that of the traditional ‘Long elaichi vali chai’

SPANISH SANGRIA

spanish sangria

This tea is a fusion of flowers, fruits and spices like Hibiscus, Strawberry, Orange, Apple, Licorice, Sea Buckthorn and natural identical flavor.
Follow the above same process to make your cup of Spanish sangria tea, and you can have it cold as well as hot according to your liking.

How’s the taste?
Strawberry fragrance is dominant over here, the taste is strawberry like, and even the color is red. I did not like the flavor much as strawberry is my least favorite flavor. But my siblings liked the taste of the tea. Now, it seriously depends on your liking and preferences. It’s a no to this flavor from my side. You might like it, though.
For Spanish Sangria, all I can say is ignore the fragrance and the flavor, and drink it for good health.

EASTERN ZING

eastern zing

Eastern zing is our regular organic green tea, but with a fusion. Apart from the major portion of green tea, it contains Sweet Lime, Lemongrass, Ginger, Spearmint, Echinacea, Sea Buckthorn, and nature identical flavor.

How to make the tea?
The process of making a cup of eastern zing tea is a little different from the other two. You would need 125 ml of water. Boil it and let it rest for 1 to 2 minutes. Then, add 1.5 tsp of the tea, steep for 3 minutes, and your tea is ready.
Drink this tea hot, you would like it more that way.
How’s the taste?
Ginger and lemongrass fragrance and flavor is dominant over here. I quite liked the tea as it’s an alternative to my ‘adrak vali chai’ but sans milk and sugar. This tea would be an instant favorite with people who are weight conscious, and have to sip normal boring green tea. Instead, replace your green tea with Eastern Zing and am sure, you will enjoy it more.
